Time to Pig Out!

Hello everyone!

I know that a lot of you have asked about pork and I am excited to say that it is finally here!

I thought I would go through some of the pork products that I have available now.

First off, one of my favorites is the breakfast sausage links. These little guys come in packs of 15 or so and thaw out and cook quickly making a nutritious, and delicious breakfast!

On the other end of the sausage spectrum you have the Mild Italian sausage. This comes in one pound packs of loose sausage, perfect for putting in spaghetti sauce, beans, etc.

I also have straight ground pork, which can be mixed with or used in place of ground beef to add more fat!

Next you have pork chops. Obviously these can be cooked in a pan on the stove, or used for an end of summer cookout before it gets too cold, (which doesn’t see like too far away these days).

You also have spare ribs to grill or roast in the oven (perfect for a little barbecue sauce), and Boston butts which are great for making pulled pork, and pork roasts.

One that I think you will like is my uncured bacon. This butcher is unable to cure meat so this bacon does not have the seasonings and smoked taste of regular bacon. However, it is good in it’s own way, and I enjoy frying it up with a little salt and pepper.

Finally, there is the pork fat that can be cooked down and made in to lard, which is such a great cooking oil.

That’s everything! I am sure there is something there for you. I know that pasture raised pork is one of my favorite meats and I cannot wait to share it with you!
